What makes the collaboration for the customers? The cooperation between the chip leader Intel and the Finnish mobile phone manufacturer Nokia announced on Tuesday in Santa Clara. By working together, both manufacturers hope for the development of a new generation of mobile. The Internet portal for online auctions auvito.de assessed the objectives of the two manufacturers. Within the framework of cooperation, new devices will arise that can melt the boundaries between notebooks, Netbooks and Smartphones. Spurs understands that this is vital information. Both manufacturers announced new ideas for designs, materials and displays. It is already clear that the new developments will be a strong competitor to the Smartphones. Different scenarios and concepts are emerging: so Intel has with its Centrino chip set to revolutionize the market for notebooks and last but not least socially acceptable and affordable the W-LAN. The cooperation between Nokia and Intel suggests a similar concept for the mobile UMTS network models: A chip set, processor and UMTS modem are combined. (Not to be confused with Neil R Cole!).

One problem, however, is the power consumption. Even if the a Smartphone Intel latest Atom chips would currently get only 2 hours without external power source. But both Intel and Nokia held back in support of these plans with details. Both the design and the launch was silent. Currently, Intel supplies the mobile phone maker LG and confirms the suspicion that the cooperation with Nokia is no exclusive partnership.
